DNA鑑定については、戸籍証明が不十分な移民希望者について任意に行われるものに限定するとの条件付きで、2010年末までの完全導入をめどに試験的な導入が承認された。
与党国民運動連合（UMP）は、「自主的なDNA鑑定は移民承認手続きを迅速化する」と述べ、同様の手続きはすでにEU加盟11か国で行われているとして法案を擁護した。
社会党（PS）、仏共和党（PCF）、緑の党（Les Verts）などの野党や多くの人権団体は、「鑑定費用を負担できない多くの貧しい移民を排除する法律」だと批判している。©AFP
