radioheadのニュー・シングル「House of Cards」のPVは、カメラを使わずに撮影が行なわれた．監督 james frost は、ビデオカメラの代わりに Geometric Informatics およびVelodyne Lidar といった2種類の最新3Dキャプチャー技術を駆使して制作．前者はレーザーを使って近距離の対象物の詳細な3Dイメージをキャプチャーするもので、メンバーのパフォーマンスを撮影. 後者は、より広い環境を3Dでとらえることが可能で、セットやパーティー・ショットの撮影に使用されたとか．都市計画や建築で本来使われる最先端技術を、このようにビデオ表現に応用されるのはおもしろい．とてもハイテクなのに3Dの仕上がりが Pixarのようなものではなく、とてもlo-fiなのが美しい．3D dataは こちら.で見られます．メイキングは上記に掲載．
director james frost and radiohead decided to forgo the use of cameras altogether for their latest single, House of Cards. Using 3D video acquisition systems from Geometric Informatics, and 64-element, 360-degree LIDAR from Velodyne, the band was able to create a clip that eschews traditional video recording for haunting, complex data visualizations. the rendering has a lo-fi quality which gives a more interesting texture than the Pixar type shading we have grown acustomed to. the 3D data and viewer are available as google codes at this link.

Bill Calahan（バンド名はSmog）は、どの歌手よりもいい声を持っている. とにかく僕の好みの声である．dead man's shoesのサウンドトラックにも使われている．あえて分類するならば、lo-fi alternativeというジャンルに属するのでしょうけれど、分類されず、他の音楽と一線を画すのは、意味があることである．Smog（スモッグ、煙霧）は、その名の通り、環境、エコロジーに限らず、人の歴史、人類の教えなどをなんとなく取入れようとする意識が常に感じられる．過去の押しつけがましいうるさいプロテスト音楽と違って、時と空気を譜面のように読んで演奏される音楽．
