Segwayの発明家、Dean KamenがDEKAを通じて北米国防総省に依頼され始めたプロジェクト、負傷下兵士の義手の開発進行状況を報告．「luke arm」はStar Warsの帝国の逆主のエンディングシーンでルークがサイボーグのような義手をしているのがヒントだった．

projectfounded by te U.S. department of defense, and inspired by the last scene of Star Wars Empire Strikes Back where luke Skywalker has an artificial cybernetic limb. The goal is of course to help wounded soldiers recovers some usage of an arm, with all that entails psychologically and physically.
